I'm an idiot when it comes to LCDs. I just know to get the lowest response time, this one is 2. I know it doesn't have super crazy res, but I'm happy with 1280x1024 max aa/af. so this shouldnt be a problem.

heres another for not much more. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001095

I'm afriad to get the 20' only because I dont want to have to run my games lower than the native res due to low FPS in games. Think my computer can handle the higher res of the 20'?

other specs

ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe
amd x2 6000+
corsair xms 2gb ddr pc 800 @ 4-4-4-12 1T
nvidia 8800gts 640mb
Ultra 700 watt PSU

Go for a 22 inch. You can wait till the holiday sales to get a better deal too. 22 is worth it in my opinion :)

in no way can your pc handle a 20' monitor lolz

it can however play everything on a 20" monitor so dont worry about that.

Eh, I'm sure the 22" is nice, but 20" its plenty big. I'm only 2 feet from my monitor so...yeah lol. So go for the 20"? I like to keep my games at 45+ fps lol

Why can't his PC handle a 22"? He's got a 8800........

It depends on the game and it's settings.

I got dual GTX and BioShock gives me around 60 frames P/S on Ultra settings when I play in my native resolution (1680x1050) sync=off.

20" and 22" are the same resolution so i guess it wouldn't matter. i never said it couldn't handle a 22......

yes my 7800gt handles Quake wars on medium to high settings at 1680 x 1050

and as someone has already stated, 20" and 22" screens have the same native resolution

Yeah, a 19" is plenty but if you want anything bigger, go for a 22 instead of a 20. It's awesome when you're only 2 feet away (for me it's about that much) and you have to move you head sometimes, kinda of a theater feel
And it's not too far from my bed so I can watch a movie whenever too with a nice theatric crisp picture.

man you cant even say my name :(

I havent been able to say it since ..the incident ..I still havent been able to take your photo out of my wallet/change the sheets/smooth out your pillow/take down the shrine dedicated to you

it just hurts too much ;(

I have a 20.1 inch with the same video card and can run most newer games at around 60FPS with 1600x1200 and high settings. You should be fine.
