When I got the first weapon, in the middle of the crosshair, the letter "Q" appeared instead of the normal crosshair sprite, after playing awhile more I notice that the weapon icons when you pick up a weapon/ammo are also changed to random letters and such. I've gotten used to it now, but if someone could help, I'd be grateful.

Delete the HalfLife2 font. Control Panel > Fonts. I had the exact same problem and that fixes it
