hud issue

well, overall, the hud is just too damn big, it covers maybe 1/3rd of my screen, and it kinda bothers me. Ive seen other people with a different hud style, and much smaller version of it, but I have no idea how they changed it so. Im running at 1280x1024 res btw

Did you bother to look in the options at all? You'll find an option for a smaller hud.

Actually, even then, my Hud seems to take up far too much space, it actually obstructs my playing experience. Is it my resolution? It seems when my friends play tf2, their hud seems considerably smaller by far.
