HUD Positioning problems

Well i thought id play half life 2 again, but it seems that my hud is really messed up.

EDIT: Ive found that setting the reso to 640x480 then back up to 1280x800 , the problems are fixed. However this can get quite repetitive. Any suggestions?
Plus Turning AA down/up works too

Restart Half Life 2. All should be fixed.

Nope. Its always the same until i change the AA/RESOLUTION

There's an option that's called Vertical something, disable that.

I thought HL2 didn't work under x64 O/S, perhaps Windows is being an ass with the graphics drivers

The old cracked half life 2 that i had had no hud problems, but it was so glitchy i just decided to buy it.

i mean if i chabge one of the settings to something, then back to what it was the problems are fixed. Oh well. Its not so important anyway
