HUD problems

hey, this has happened since I've owned HL2, but I just wanted to know if there was a fix.

Whenever I play the game at certain resolutions (i.e 1600X1200) certain parts of the hud are moved to the middle of the screen and cut in half. The ammo portion of the HUD and the aux power are moved to the rough center edges of the screen, and only half of the display is shown, leaving me not able to see what is displayed in them. This problem is very annoying, and I have seen it on other people's computers at similar resolutions with the same video card. the problem goes away when I switch to lower resolutions like 800X600, but anything above that causes this hud error.

my specs are
9800 pro
AMD athalon 3500+
2GB ram
SB Audigy 2 zs

Is there something I can edit in a configuration file somewhere to fix this?

IIRC it happens when you change AA whilst in-game. Change the graphic settings to something you want, then restart HL2, and play without changing them in-game.

This happends to me too sometimes, I've came up with a quick solution for the problem: restart HL2

(I didn't change the AA settings in-game, SimonomiS. I have allways playd with max AA and max AF)

Maybe you changed the resolution.
