I sure hope we get the chance to put a bullet in Gmans ass this time around, or maybe execution style eh??

Ever tried killing gman in hl1? Nope its not going to happen, but i dont know how they would do it this time, whether he would fight back or just be invincible.

i saw the title and i got excited, i was hoping for screens of gordon humping the gman, now i'm sad, thanks for getting my hopes up, you bastard

Nope. No chance of killing him, I'm inclined to agree with everyone else there.

Such a misleading title. No sexual favours for shady government agents after all :(

I reckon the G-man will either be available only in non-combat situations or he'll have new "abilites" for dealing with you if you go off the rails. Either instant fade-to-black with usual failure message, or perhaps he'll pull that trick he does at the end of HL if you refuse his offer, teleporting you into a situation you really don't want to find yourself in...
 
He will probably get knocked down, then get back up after you shoot him, then say "That was not a wise dicission, Mr. ehhhhrrr Freeeeehhhrrrrman" then he zaps you.

The G-Man is too cool to die. Besides, it's very likely that he is working with you, not againts you. He didn't even touch you in Half-Life, he just observed.

I don't think he's on any side. He's more of an observer that once in a while likes to throw in some sand in the clockwork, some salt in the wounds. A hemoroid on someone's butt. A pubic hair in one's spanish omelett... well, you get the idea.
But the G-man is way too cool to die you're right.
 
I am going to make hl2 mod where you can kill g-man in different ways :) :flame:

Or maybe you see him in Goldfinger style, when Gordon walks in the interrogation room in the E3 04 video.
Gordon go over to the chair and sit down, and a scanner flies over his face and zaps Gordon, who fall asleep.

Later Gordon wake up in a large room, lying on a large, cold, metal table, with his feet and hands strapped on to the table. And suddenly a large combine laser thingy come from nowhere and points at Gordon, then the G-Man enters Gordons sight:

Gordon:"Do you expect me to talk?"
G-Man:"No Mr. Freeman, i expect you to die" *activates laser* and laser crawls closer and closer to Gordon.

For you who have seen James Bond: Goldfinger, you know the rest of the story.
For you who have not, I don't want to take my time writing the rest.

G-man is the second coolest guy in Half-life, he can't die!

I know for sure that I'll be using a quicksave before I try. I wouldn't be surprised if they put in something that makes you lose all saves as well as die from it, though:p
 
I believe the G-man is shielded by some xenomorphic shielding devices hidden in his briefcase. I think he's one of the aliens and made the resonance cascade happen in the first place... he's also seen in Opposing Force talking to the grunts before you're sent in, I think he started all this and is 'Observing' you from different places to track your progress to see if you're worthy for his 'Job' - offered at the end of HL1.

In short, G-man can't die.
 
the gman is evil and must be killed he is just manipulating gordon as part of his evil plan to rule the world, hes quite possibly from xen too
 
Gman: Mindless fools-s-s, You cannot kill what you do not unders-stand!

Truly, if you don't know what's shielding him, you can't break it (although... if it's in his briefcase, rip it from his hands with the manipulator... if you can)
 
OMG! the gman is so awesome! havent u read my gman thread geez. You are just jealous of his cool and mysterious personality and that awesome suit! O ya dont forget the invulnerability! I wish he was my boss that would be so cool.
 
I don't think you'd like him being your boss... aliens would invade your place of business, and you wouldn't be wearing an H.E.V. suit, you won't last long...
 
well im the G-mans friend, he gives me cool gadgets to play with :sniper:
 
I'll have you know I have a sick mind and could take that post many ways...

But, I won't go into details. The G-man will destroy you and anything in a 50-mile radius if you tell us what he's given you, so it would be best if you didn't tell anyway.
 
Kids: Don't do G-Men. In fact, if you see one, call the police and anyone else you think might be of use. Do not approach in any circumstances.
 
hahaha I used noclip and went inside his briefcase and he has some sort of computer screen but I could not make out what it was.
 
No idea why a large number of people dislike the Gman. I've heard it was because he always just watched you as you struggled to stay alive, but at certain points like in OpFor when the acid is rising around you, he saves your ass when you're almost out of time.

I always found him to be a really cool, mysterious character (voice, demeanor, and appearance), and though I did take a shot at him just to see what would happen, I'd be disappointed if we found out he wasn't secretly on your side and/or had to fight him.

Dude all I can say is the Gman is the coolest guy ever, its really amusing when I use everything I can on him and he just stands there and doesnt even flinch.

Wow, i was always mystified by what was in his case...a gun? HE DOESNT NEED A GUN, HES THE ****ING G-MAN

However, this helps the case that he isnt an alien or god or anything, probably just a guy

Wow! That's so cool. I wish we could know what it said next to his picture.

So he's got a pistol, some pencils, a piece of paper, a picture of him, and some wierd description thing by his picture. Cool.
 
would be funny if you shot him once and he did a matrix dive, took out the golden gun, and shot you
 
haha I bet that there is a secret button on the briefcase and when you push it a secret side flips over revealing some kind of shield device, and besides why would the G-man have a profile on himself in his briefcase when hes supposed to be all secretive?
