"hunters" Question*spoiler*

Does anyone think that the Humanoid Combine are gone for since the The Citadel is destroyed. Becaused this pic(WARNING SPOILER) shows striders and Hunters being deployed like Infantry. Could this be the new age for humans?

Anyway those are just the "tanks" of the Combine. The resistance better have a new weapon to beat them out in the countryside... Perhaps a battle tank they were developing at BME?


Anyway, on topic: Humanoid combine need dropships to get around. Stiders/whateverthoseare don't really need them for moderate distance. I doubt the Combine would waste resources having Combine footies walking around in the wilderness hunting rebels when those guys could do the job just as well.

There should be a huge forrest battle with 5 striders, 20 hunters, 50 combine and 50 rebels. Just a thought.

Perhaps - Does anyone know the deployment range of the Combine? If they kept them anywhere near the citadel, you may be on to something. The fact that these weapons made it out make me think there are 'outposts', at the very least, the contingent dispatched to hassle Judith Mossman (as seen in the video).

Both the citadel and Nova Prospekt had 'augmentation' facilities. How far away was Nova Prospekt from the citadel? A train ride anyway, but far enough to survive the blast in Episode 1?

It is doubtful that the entirety of the Overwatch's Transhuman arm have been obliviated, and bits of Civil Protection may still be intact far away from City 17. However if humanity is seen as a lost cause by Breen's old Benefactors, expect to see these human collaborators relied on less and less as the situation degenerates on Earth.

Just after you left Nova Prospekt by teleporter, the teleporter exploded. Nova Prospekt was destroyed. It was the signal for the uprising, remember?
