Hurricane time!

I played chicken with Hurricane Charley last year and Charley moved first. I hope you have the same luck.

Flying cows landing on roofs is not good :(

And it was funny watching the weather man try to pump propaganda into peoples minds. "Umm, but you have to remember that... Umm, these storms can be very unpredictable and... Umm.. It COULD move away from us! You just umm.. You never know!"

"... And umm. Yeah... It SHOULD slow down when it hits the umm... erm.. cooler water more um. South ish, so it should be weaker, but like I um... Like I said, they can be VERY unpredictable and ummm..."

Generally though, when we get hurricanes, they're really really bad because we're like, little dots of land in the middle of hurricane feul. Like Hurricane Iniki (1991), it just bowled over Kauai.

ME VS HURRICANE!

News on the big fight sometime next week.

EDIT: Oh and I forgot to mention, Tropical Storm Jova, which is ahead of Hurricane Keneth at the moment, should turn into a hurricane some time tommorow.

/me cocks shotgun

Let's get ready to rock and roll!

We ride next week, to the guitar.... Squeek...

If you shoot a hurricane with a shotgun its liable to throw those bb's back atcha!

Batton down the hatches USA, get used to larger hurricanes, and meanwhile in NZ ill get used to less wind, higher temperatures, and more sunshine. NZ ftw!!

I thought they called 'em typhoons in the Pacific?

before it hits, quickly send me your PC for safe keeping...:)

for some reason the name hurricane kenneth amuses me.

no offense to anybody called kenneth...

Ifeelya is a pain in the ass, it just wanted to chill on my state. That piece of shit, I'd shoot it if it was an object.

Yeah, but we're part of the US so we just calle 'em Hurricanes.

And the name Kenneth ammuses me too, because I know a fat kid named Kenneth. He's cool though, and not fat like those pale balls you see at Gamestop. He's fat like, a tad less rounded, kinda like a triangle, and he's from guam, so he doesn't look extra stupid by being sunbleached white.

Hehe.

Typhoon comes from the name Tai Feng 台风. So that's what they call them in Asia.

Hurricanes has a native American meaning I think. They always tend towards in a North West direction in the northern Hemisphere (last time I checked) so that's why you don't get them on the West US coast.

They've got a different name in Australia don't they?

They're are billions of different names for them that they use in different parts of the world. Don't even bother trying to figure them all out.

Still maybe a week away :P

But we're still getting some flash floods (nothing new. Get them all the time) and the surfs been really high south shore. Like, 12 ft when south shore is usually only 3-4 at most. But that's because of a big storm a week ago in New Zealand so...

But my lights whent out a few days ago as a result from hurricaneage, and we had some freak light lightning (as in, perfectly clear night, then all of a sudden ZAP ZAP, then nothing more).
