I just figured out my CPU allows HyperThreading, however it says it's disabled. I was wondering, how do I enable HyperThreading on my CPU and do I need a compatible motherboard or can I run it? If my motherboard is compatible, how would I find out? Any help is appreciated!

Would it not increase performance in games?

A program has to be specifically written to take advantage of hyperthreading. If you enable it and use a program that doesn't use hyperthreading, hyperthreading *can* slow down your computer a tad.

If you don't need it for something, leave it off.

If you still want to enable it, you must have a supporting processor, motherboard, and supporting bios to enable it.
