What exactly do i need to get the cs: s ??? cos i would like to see how my pc will handle the hl2 engine?
im currently pre-loading hl2 with steam, is this all i need?

Well, the CS beta is currently available to all Condition Zero owners and ATI Halflife2 vouchers. The easy way to get in now is to buy CZ, but seeing as HL2 might go gold sometime this week I suggest you wait it out =)

Yeah the beta migt be closed down soon. But go & buy CS:CZ anyway. It's a great game (and it's dirt cheap now).

I highly doubt the beta will be closed down, it'll just be continously patched as it has been til Hl2 goes gold, then it'll be fully patched up to the full version when you buy HL2.

Go to ebay. Search for CZ, buy one for like 15$, the CDKEY in emailed instantanious. You go into steam, say register product, type in your Key, you download CZ, you then download CSS you change your name to AZNSNIPR69101
and play

If valve is like blizzard, then you should be able to buy a cd key for like 10 bucks from valve. Aint sure but i know with blizzard u can buy one for 10 bucks for any of there games.

But just leave it this way, valve said it's illegal so its illegal so be quiet about it.

I wouldn't trust a CD-KEY that I bought off of Ebay. It might already be banned. Well then you could sue Ebay like others have done in the past. BUT there is also no guarantee that it's not already in use. And I suggest you stay quiet about this matter since AFAIK there is no way for Valve to know that you have bought a CD_KEY online. Unless shops keeps a record on what CD-KEYS they've sold. And mind you, Valve reads these boards from time to time.

On topic: I suggest you wait until HL2 is released. Can't be too long now. Of course you can support valve and buy CZ, and get the bonus of playing CSS beta while it's still available, but if you don't have the luxury of much money I suggest you save your CZ cash for a copy of HL2, which includes the full version of CSS.

I agree with Ecthe|ion.. Best you can do is wait till HL2 comes out you buy it and you also get CSS for free
