My girl bought me CS:cz because she knows how long I am waiting on HL2 already and so she bought it for me (I am saving for new pc and i really needed the cash, so I dicided to wait till HL2 was released).

My girl bought more games for me, as presents.

But I am trying to play CS:s all evening now and I keep chrashing to desktop. When I join a server everything is fine till I try to shoot. And I can't go to video settings, all I get is this weird little square in the upper left corner.

I already tried all the so called fixes, but nothing works for me.

Doesn't your girlfriend know by buyingyou that game she is going to see you less and spend less time with you?

Sounds like she is trying to break up by making you look like the bad guy (playing games rather than watching Meg Ryan movies with her) You have to watch girlfriends they are tricky like that..
