I have just downloaded and installed the Halo PC demo, it's really fun and all, but I have an unusual graphical problem.
Now, I understand you guys are really getting sick of these Halo performance/error threads, I promise, I will not make any more threads on this;):D:D
Okay, so this is my problem, I have set the resolution to 1024x768, shadows off, decals on and lightflares(Or whatever they're called) off.
The textures to high.
When I start a game, the graphics are really messed up, when I look down, there are like, lil' software textures that cover some other textures up, and almost 80% of the graphics are plain, I can't even tell sand from coffee ice cream.
The light flares are actually squares.
And for the assault rifle that tells you how much ammo you have, the numbers are replaced by even mre squares!!
Ar-gh-h-h-;(
If you must know, my specs are:
Pentium 4 1.8 Ghz
512 DDR MB ram
ATI Radeon 9600 128MB ram.
I apologize once again for this thread reguarding Halo

P.S.=- I have a screenshot that I would love to show, can someone host it up for me? It's to big and I won't be able get it on here:(

read the readme, which basically tells you, you need to set your mip-map detail level to high quality (you set that in your videocard driver settings)

yeah, I had the same problem until I did what Xtasy said. Works great now.
