I just bought this car, one of my favorite all-time cars. I'm so happy :D It broke down on the second day I had it, but I don't care. Atleast now I own one, and it's parked in my private space in a gated community, and I can work on it in my spare time, and just take my time with it. During the few hours that it ran, it was soooooo nice :)

I can't wait to drive it, but just as much I'm going to enjoy working on it. I've always enjoyed putting things together. This was going to be my daily commuter, but I guess now it's going to be my project car. I've always wanted a project car  It's okay though, because I can use my Buick as my daily for now.

Sorry about the crappy cellphone pics, but I don't have a digital camera.

By the way, it ran fine and didn't leak when I test drove it and checked it out. The engine was rebuilt and only has 68,000 miles, but I went through the maintenance records (half inch thick stack, woohoo!), and it looks like they never did any radiator work. That would explain why it broke as I drove it. My driving habits are vigorous, to say the least

Please tell me what you think of it, give me your criticisms, praises, suggestions, etc.

:)

EDIT: It's a 1987 Mercedes 190E 2.3, btw

i love those mercedes. there are a ton of black ones with tinted windows for sale around here that are soooooo ace. i got an integra though, ill take pics later :)

It's a good sign, it means everything that ever broke was repaired.

Or that is prone to breaking. It broke on the second day he had it FFS. Looks like hes got a lemon.

nah mine broke the first day i got it... she aint no lemon, just needs some lovin.

Mine has never broke in the 12287 miles I have driven with it.

Ofcourse, this now means that it will break tomarrow.

my car has 140 thousand miles on it. hasent "broken" per se, but there are times when she has a little trouble starting. hasnt failed me yet.

I was actually pretty suprised to see the steering wheel on the left. Crazy americans, with your left-ness. The romans gave us roads FIRST!

Hah. My sister and brother are in the process of purchasing new cars.. My sister, currently owning a Ford 2000 Mustang, is buying the new Ford '05 Mustang for about $28,000. My brother, he had a Pontiac 1995 Grand AM GT which pretty much blew up on him, is now buying an Acura RSX or TSX which would cost him either $22,000 for the RSX or $28,000 for the TSX.. He is still debating about it. :p

Too bad I do not get either car as both were in perfect condition.. My sister sold her 2000 Mustang, and my brother got rid of his also..
Now, all I need to do is figure out a way to get a car.. :(

dude tell him to get an RSX those things are SEX.

RSX with K24 bottom end K20A2 head+ boost=sex.

Thats what I was getting at ;)

Actually, he is in the process of debating like I said.. See if I were him, I would go for the RSX since there are so many additions for the car. I mean there are so many body kits/carbon fibers/lights/all that shit.. I personally would love to own that car and mod the hell out of it, but he is the one that just likes the looks and doesn't do a thing to it.. :( I mean it is a beautiful car how it is, but to mod it to make it even more beautiful would be awesome..

I just turned 16 and got a 1990 Bronco XLT, Its pretty flippin sweet. Im putting some Rockford Fosgate speakers in it to get it bomping a little.

Make a thread about it, with pictures. I'm sure no one's ever thought of that

That's what I mean. I don't have a job. No job >> no money, no money >> poor, poor >> no car. :(

That's not a bad idea...

By the way, congratulations on getting the car!! :D

I need to get myself a shotgun, down here in NC, if you don't have one you're screwed if someone tries to break in.

How could you crazies turn this into a discussion about your biggest gun

I can't have a car in 2 years. :( I will start driving practice soon though...

Kid talked some much shit to me about my car, saying it was slow, etc. He drives the Eclipse, you can see what happens, btw I hit about 90mph and let off, speed limit is 45 through there :x and yes this was months ago and I don't even own the car anymore so its all good.

Just remember if I rolled to a higher speed 100+ it would've been worse.

Hes stock I had just a SRI and a muffler, both were on it when I bought it

They aren't produced by VW or one of the other VW companies. ;)

Which are: Audi, lamborghini, bently, bugatti, seat, and skoda.

No, but seriously Ive never really liked japanese cars that much anyway, aside from that fact that they are a dime a dozen, many of the people who 'tune' (and i use the term laughingly) them are a-holes, and the whole styling and followings are totally diffrent. I'm just glad there is a company like honda which keeps these types of people off and far away from VW.
