I Can't Install Service Pack 2!!!!! Help!!!

OMFG!!! so bad so bad so bad!

WHen i insert the SP2 CD, it will start extracting the files right? Well once it's done with that, it gives me an error message saying something like this:

Setup has detected a startup program [what it means is the part that says "windows xp" with the little green bars below it] that is not from Microsoft. Service Pack 2 will not install. For more information see knoledge base article Q327101 at http://support.microsoft.com

yeah, the startup thing looks perfect to me! It is perfectly normal it says windows xp home edition and has the green bars below it!

that is the article, but it talks about sp1, and the erroe it says is different from the onw i get, but it is close enough.

seriously though, compatability issues, don't expect all your games to run like before. Stability as well. Lots of other things as well but i cant be arsed to list them.
*sigh* if only Micro$oft learnt how to release an OS update like Apple.

SP2 WORKS 100% FINE WITH ME!
God, I havn't had 1 problem with it. Hell my comp seems faster. I know your suppose to clear all your viruses and spyware and adware before you install it...maybe you didn't do that and now your system is pwned.
Everything works fine for me.. Microsoft has once again statisifed me

Well my friend, you are most certainly in the minority. Personally I wouldn't risk installing it until M$ release an update for it or something.

my mom has it, and it works fine with her pc. ANyways, i got it to work and so far no problems. And now hen my -pc boots it has the blue bars! it looks like i have winxp pro!!! woah! woah! woah! woah!
