I FINALLY beat Doom.

Not just Doom - All 4 episodes

Knee-deep in the Dead
The Shores of Hell
Inferno
Thy Flesh Consumed

Not on some pussy setting, either - NIGHTMARE, BITCHES!

NO CHEATS!

F*CK YES!

IN - YO - FACES!


Talk about f*cking impossible. I've been trying since January 5th. Is that not hardcore?!

EDIT: I will say that I studied each level in easy mode, so I could speed-run them, but even so, I had to kill lots of monsters and die ALOT.
 
grats, i once killed 5 baddies in a row in the last level on nightmare

I could give pics of each ending storyline, but I can't really prove I was on Nightmare.. But I seriously beat it on Nightmare, that's not something you lie about.

but it is something you lie about and then say its not a thing you lie about so that people dont think you lie about it.

Im not saying you did or didnt, im just saying that without proof its very skeptical, good work otherwise :D

I beat halo on legendary in 7 minutes.

@Gray Fox - Because Doom was my first ever computer game, I used to play it all the time, and now I have mastered it. I'll probably go back to playing it in a week or so, but for now - I'm taking a break.

@Adabiviak - The first time I tried it (when I started this "beat the whole game on nightmare" thing) - I died in about 7 seconds. (I ran to get the armor to the left in the very first level, but to my surprise there were 5 Shotgun Guys there, and I had a pistol...)

It is if its your first time playing. After that it just kind of becomes memorization of all the secrets so you can get better guns earlier and what not and ammo.
 
Doom is fun. If you don't think Doom is fun, then your standards are too high. You snob.
 
The 4th episode in doom is god damn hard enough. Its such a step up from the first three episodes it doesn't even make sense. You start the level, OH SHIT BUNCH OF SHOT GUN GUYS, OH **** IS THAT A BARON OF HELL OH SWEET JESUS. If you dont know the the secret areas you get stuck with a shitty pistol and a shotgun.
 
V-Man on the....

I hate the ending to the original Doom. I saw it when I was like 7, and I had nightmares for like years after that.
 
EP4 is really TOO hard. I think there is not a single easy level in EP4. I prefer to play everything on ultra violence difficulty level cause nightmare is just unfair and frustrating. I don't think it's fun.
 
I'm taking Dog on the challange. I will beat DOOM on Nightmare.

Cept I'll be using the Doomsday engine. Easier to look around, but I turn the autoaim off.
 
Eh, it's a little bit easier once you learn the tricks

Two most important:

1) If using the default Doom controls (you should be using the CTRL on the left side of the spacebar) you should always strafe by holding ALT and moving sideways - they almost never hit you.

2) Get used to using SHIFT - not only can you sprint, but it makes turning alot faster, so when you get ambushed from behind, you don't take an eternity to turn around.


It's important to learn those 2 things for noobs. (not that I'm calling you a noob, though Uriel)

We'll swap. I beat Quake 3 on Nightmare, now it's your turn.

It won't take nearly as long as DOOM did. Almost did it in 2 days :(

I have a new challenge for you guys, try Unreal at Unreal. :E

Well frankly, it's not very hard if you ask me but still I'm one of the best Unreal players ever.
