I feel bad for you mods. You guys are going to have to stay here while HL2 is out, keeping the peace, making sure there are no spoilers and stop from riots breaking out. Though most people aren't goinig to be here, there will be some losers who didn't get the game and just complaining and spamming. I feel bad for you mods.

I reckon there should be a zero tolerence policy on spoilers for the first 2 weeks of the release at least.

Almost everyone would be banned in the first 3 days.




I have allways thought it would be a good idea to have some important rules to be placed right next to the box you write your post in btw. Constant reminder type of thing. Dunno if its possible. But there is space going to waste here

Edit: after reading marksman's post.. How about if we had a special section for spoilers only. Any spoiler post or thread that turned up in the main section could be moved there, and anyone wanting to read that thread would have to re-enter their username/password to access it, that way if anyone still complained about seeing spoilers after going in there, they've only themselves to blame. I mean, a big warning its full of spoilers, and being asked to re-enter your login details before you can view the section atall (so nobody can get spoiled by seeing thread titles)

Yeah, I think I like it the way it is now though.
A place to feel safe from spoilers and that.


And I don't think this site (As it is the biggest of its kind) should promote the downloading of the illegal stolen source/partial game from valve.

Fenric i too like ur idea.. u can name the section "HL2 game/storyline Spoilers"

and once thats done, have an absolute zero tolerance policy on pple who post spoilers in the wrong sections..

i feel that after creating that section, theres no excuse in the world a forum goer can use to avoid an ip ban.. i view it as the poster trying to ruin the forum experience and discussions for others who do not wish to know anything about the story.

anway, as far as mods go.. im sure the staff is gonna add a few more pple to their mod list so theres enough mods available at all times..

getting more pple to mod will also mean other mods that are usually around more often can take a break or something

actually, ya know how all that would sound much better? u remember in HL1 at the beginning during the experiment the scientists are talking to u through the PA system? ya imagine Munro and the mods using a PA system... lol

would kinda give a HL-ish feel to it :cheese:
