I finally recieved the stock I ordered from top notch parts. I'd love to have the real thing but they are pricey and I am at the limit of foreign parts in this rifle. One more foreign part and it would be a felony so I'd have to replace something to get a real MSG-90 stock. Damn this thing took forever to get here. I ordered it in December and was quoted February as the estimated delivery time. Apparantly they were having issues with the people who were doing the molds or something. Oh well it was the companies first run. I sure can't wait to shoot the damn thing next week :sniper:!!

I was all like, whoa thats cool, this guy is hardcore... Then I noticed you had a picture of Jamie Kennedy on your wall, and lost all respect for you. hehehe

That's no Kennedy that's my brother Michael. It's an old pic. He lives in Switzerland now. I need to call him up.

omfg that is hot.

does it work?

Of course it works. I have about 1600rds through her so far. Exactly 1000rds of Argentina 1980's surplus .308, and 600rds (still working on the last 400) of 1980's South African surplus .308. Oh yea I forgot and 100rds of Black Hills Match Grade 165gr BTHP .308.

YES!

I needed this thread of someone else's experience to level up!

I'm now a level 49 Student! Fear my pencil sharpening skills! Watch in amazement as I do end of year exams! Be in awe of my ability to finish every sentence with an exclamation mark!

starting a revolution?

Well sorta.... Paper targets, pop cans, various other junk are the enemy :sniper:. I have posted other rifles and stuff that was just a rifle that I finally got where I wanted it. Here's some more goodies:

It kinda sucks though having all these because i never have time to shoot anymore. I just started Dental School and my Clinical Anatomy final is tommorow. I get a week off before the fall semester. The fall semester is friggen 26hrs credit! I've never had more than 15hrs so it's gonna suck. I'm gonna go through several hundred dollars in ammo on my week off just to feed my addiction for a while.

I think I erased my pistol pics by accident:o

oh man, I read "buttstock" as "buttocks" when I saw the title... I was thinking "what the hell?" But that's pretty sweet.

 I'd still rather hang on to them. I still have range trips now and then.

I want a G36k. Can civilians even purchase those?

No but you can get a HK SL8 and buy a M16 mag conversion lower (no good US source for G36 mags). You'd also have to buy a few other items to make it as close as possible. It would cost $1500 for the sl8, and at least $1000 for the conversion. The sl8's went for $1000 about a year ago, but HK stopped importing them so the prices shot up. You have to replace a certain amount of parts with US parts to remain legal. Imported Semi-auto's that have a detachable mag larger than 10rds are illegal for civilians unless they were imported before the import ban of 1989. You can take some imported guns like a SL8 or a USC (civie UMP) and convert them to take high capacity mags if you have enough US parts to make it legal. A USC would have to be registered as a short barreled rifle in order to cut the barrel down any under 16" as that is the legal limit for a rifle. You have to jump through alot of hoops for the ATF with all the paperwork and fees you must pay (not to mention the 3 month background check/waiting period), and that's only in the states that allow us civie's to own Class 3 weaponry.

None of the HK's below are mine.
Here's a stock SL8:

A couple of converted one's (couldn't find any real authentic looking ones but they are out there):

Here's a converted USC. I couldn't find any pics of them that have been registered as a SBR and cut down, but they are friggen sweet. This particular conversion uses grease gun mags. They now have kit's that uses real UMP mags. The top lower in the pic is the factory lower along with the 10rd mags.

I had thought about registering an AK74 reciever I had. I could then get a Yugo Krink Kit if any are available and have a Krinkov built.

I forgot to clarify. The HK91/G3 that the new clone MSG-90 stock is on is not a "real" HK. It is a US made PTR-91 made by JLD enterprises (they still have lots of foreign parts just under the limit). They are really nice and made extremely well. The main differences is the barrel in a PTR is a heavy target barrel and the rifling is standard rifling instead of polygonal rifling. There are many other companies that make clones but most of them are a crapshoot.
