I like reading while lying on my back, usually on a sofa or bed. After a while my arm starts to ache since I've had it up for a long time (I usually read for 1-2 hrs). I usually let my arms rest a few seconds, then resume reading, but I found this: http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Why_does_...at_elbow_cause_left_arm_to_ache_and_feel_numb

I was looking it up because I felt some dull pain around that area (this is the second time I've ever felt it). Guess I'm going to have to change my reading habits. Sucks.

You know what would fix this. A book that reads to you.

That's odd, I never have any pain in my arms when I read while lying down... but then again my arms are long enough that I can have them on the bed/couch to support them while holding the book.

I can do that but I like having the book at a certain elevation, not to mention my bifocals make it a bitch to read shit looking down (I read at an 80 degree angle lying down).

I can't read lying down, gravity pisses me off too much.

Sit in a comfy armchair, else sit up in bed. That's what I do. *shrugs*

You are getting older, that is all. I used to be able to read in any position, but now I just sit on my couch with the light on behind me.
