I hate this Loading... screen.

I just bought HL2 Silver off of Steam last night and finally dl'ed all the stuff. Anyway, I always get stuck at the Loading... screen. I have waited for 10-15 minutes (I was doing homework) and nothing happened. I heard from some other post that the way to fix it is to update all my drivers, and I have, except that it still doesn't work.

Now what do I do?

My friend told me to post my computer specs to help anyone out. I have a:
Mobo: GA-81PE1000 (non-pro) w/ Intel 865PE chipset
CPU: 2.8 gig Intel Pentium 4
RAM: 512
Vid Card: Radeon 9800 (non-pro) 128meg

Open up steam and go here:

http://www.steampowered.com/index.php?area=news&id=351

and click on 'validate HL2', it'll validate your game files and then update your game (should take less than a few minutes total). Hopefully that will fix it.
