I have 1 gift for half life 2. If i "delete all local file" will i still have it?

Well it says i have 1 half life 2 gift (i assume thats because it came with orange box and i already had it). I'm wanting to clear out computer room and i'm not the type of guy to play games more than once (although i played hl2 twice already) so i've decided to uninstall it.

My question is, will i still have that gift?

1 more question which i'm confused about. Does that gift give somebody the entire game for free or does it just give them a trial and if its a trial, what does the trial include and also, can you get the trial without somebody giving you it as a gift?

You can delete all your games on Steam if you wish and uninstall Steam and still get them back by logging into the same Steam account. All you need to remember is your log in details, don't lose them, write them down somewhere!

When you log back into this account Steam will download the games you've purchased already (or you can install them from a DVD if you bought a retail copy, you just won't need to register the validation code again).

And the HL2 gift, it's a full standard copy of Half-life 2, you give it to a friend and they will get a full copy of Half-life 2 on their Steam account permanently. If you want a trial version of HL2, there is a free HL2 demo available for download on Steam if you know a couple of people who'd like to try it. That's it really.
