Ok here recently i had a run in with service pack 2 and it screwed a bunch of things up and I couldn't get online so I restored a few days back to before I installed SP2 and now I can get on the net and everything blah blah I made a thread about that... Well I was always running out of Virtual memory and well, I still am...
So I ctrl+alt+del and check out my processes, down the list everything looks normal except for a few generic host processes svchost.exe there is one of those that was eating like 280,358 k memory, and it was going up and up the longer it ran.
I can end that process but it does it everytime I turn the computer on. I've tried virus checkers, spy/ad ware checkers, I think I may have a trojan of some kind but none of them can pick it up. Anyone heard of this before, and possibly know a solution?
