I have an onboard network adapter on my motherboard like most new mobo's. My roomate recently got a new d-link router that has been running like crap. All of a sudden my internet stopped working...but my rommates' internet still works. I've made sure it's not the cat5's that are the culprit or the port that I jack into...but I still can't get online.
I think it's the ethernet adapter built into my mobo. I've even reformatted my computer (I had wanted to do so anyways), rolled back and uninstalled the drivers for the card...but it still claims it's working fine when I can't get online. I even have an IP from the router screen (when I look at it from my roomate's computer). I don't know what to do. I think it's the mobo built-in adapter because there was a green light back where I plugged the cat5 in that lit up...but now it won't light up.
I was thinking I'd just go get a cheap adapter from BestBuy tonight after work or something. Any help?
