Okay, so I'm an avid Steam user, and play a wide range of FPS's. But lately, I have been getting blue screens of death whenever I start playing a half hour into Counter Strike:Source. I read up on the eventvwr, and on the internet, but can't really find any solution to these common mishaps. Sometimes I get power status failure, but when playing CSS I usually get something along the lines of int_if not then else thingy. My specs:

abit IP35 Pro Off limits Mobo

Q6600 Quad Core Processor

4 gB. Corsair RAM

500 gb Hard Drive

Toughpower 750 Watt PSU

LG DVD and CD Reader (Don't know which one though)

EVGA 8800GT Superclocked 512 mB (heard there might be a driver problem)

So...yeah. I really hate my gaming to be interrupted by a BSoD. Links and suggestions and plain old help would be awesome, if you can find it. Thanks a bunch.

I'm going to paste this here from the BSOD thread since it's applicable here.

One important thing we need, is the BSOD code that is given to you when it happens. If you don't see it and it goes away too fast, follow these instructions.

Start Menu > Settings > Control Panel> System(under classic view) > Advanced Tab > Startup and Recovery settings > Uncheck Automatically Restart under System Failure

Doing this will keep the BSOD up on your screen as long as you want so you can write down information about it. Then you can just restart your computer manually. Very useful.

The number that you are interested is where it displays a number similar to this one(but possibly different):

Stop: 0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0x805354A0, 0xF76866E4, 0x00000000)

You only really need to write down the first two number sequences... 0x0000008E (0xC00000005

But of course your numbers will be different. You can post them in here and I can look them up, or you can easily look them up via the Microsoft website by going to a search engine and typing something along the lines of: microsoft stop: 0x0000008E
