I have never seen anything so buggy!!!!

Man this is dissapointing! I really wanted to play some DOD and even the regular half life but this STEAM thing is really driving me crazy. What's with all the freexing and stuff. I start steam Click on games and launch. I try to download but it just freezes. ANd don;t tell me it's from the server. I puch control+ALT+DEL and it says it's not reponding. Just like some of the games that I've had. REally I know I can play with my cd but I', trying to create space for the new stuff coming from steam. WAht do they say is going on? I mean are there no responses? I know I mentioned to be patient in another thread but thios getting quite frustratin. This was a weekend that I'd have a good chance to play with my wife and son out of town. (visiting his grandma) Any answers?

You can still use WON at the moment so you could play internet games the old non-Steam way. Valve will be keeping the WON servers up until Steam is a lot more stable.

Make sure Steam has downloaded all the content before you try to play. Right click and select "Automatically keep this game up to date", then wait for the transfer to finish. There's a UI bug that only becomes apparently when there's little bandwidth. Valve will be trying to sort this out.
