Jesus, I hate threads like this. Who gives a shit why people post threads? You either read it or you don't. It takes -so- little effort to just ignore them, trust me I do it all the time and it's no hair off my back.

And what's with this judging people I see so often? "Maybe they have no social life." So ****ing what? The internet is meant to be an escape from reality, stop bringing people's personal lives into question for no good reason. I view the ability to browse these forums as a privelege, but some people seem to think it's their god-given right to have such an awesome service available to them, and constantly take advantage of it. Maybe y'all just need to be a bit more tolerant.

I would agree with Bad Hat. In fact I much prefer reading threads about people's lives, (which somehow means they have a lack there of) over threads about how boring threads about peoples lives are. Isn't it sociable to want to hear about what others have been doing, and also then tell them about your experiences?

What do you talk about with your friends? All the generic "cars women and sport"? Because that only goes so far (and thats not very) before it gets boring. Also just because you don't know these people who post the "lame" threads, doesn't mean they are just another anonymous poster to everyboday else.

I completely agree, we are in off-topic here and the fact is most of us here consider each other on-line friends. As an online friend I am both anonymous and therefor able to talk about things that I could not do with other people I do know, and able to listen to people on things that they would not talk to people about in real life.

Its always interesting listening to what is happening in peoples lives because its helped made this whole forum seem so intimate and personal.

i mean sure, speculation's great, but its gone too far... :|

they never said feel sorry for them or anything, they were just stating what happened, looking for similar stories, and generally adding something they would like to share with us to the forums

I have to admit, that people on forums are really mature, you guys have a great genral culture and some times I learn a lot of thinks.
I haven't yet found someone in real life that, if I tell him that My Vid card has a 16 pipeline, he will know what I'm talking about.
So yeah, it's refreshing from time to time.

Today I (mum) got a new filter for our blender (the old one was all stretched out... I could make a joke about a hooker or goatse guy but this is a solemn occasion). I've made three banana shakes so far and I tried a chocolate one but I put in way too much milo and sugar and icecream and now I'm all perky and we have no more milo.
