i can't recall if i've made a thread about this or not. anyway

yeah i was bored and didn't feel like trying Eve online so i rather went and played Penumbra where i left off.

this game gets me every time. i can't believe how good this game is as a wholesome experience. nerve wrecking and engaging...despite all it's flaws it just might be the second best game i ever played in my life.

seriously...if you admire class, just play this game! it doesn't get better than this

If you admire class, you could capitalize your forum posts every now and then.

Good point, but that's not about class that's about being lazy.

One question though...in Black Plague do you still have the pick axe for combat or not, because i heard combat has been removed?

Combat is not part of Black Plague gameplay. The guys at Frictional talk about this, from time to time, and I agree with them: having some sort of casual weapon for trivial things is ok, but feeling helpless is the key to true horror games.

For game purposes ok, but humans know a thing or two how to make and use weapons, not being able to use an axe when the situation demands is just silly.

Guns might be overkill but melee weapons should be in. I still don't know, is there the pick axe/hammer combat in black plague or do i have to make an ingenious fire throwing contraption to kill a menacing rat biting my shoes?

Combat is not fully fleshed-out, but you can use some sort of weapon from time to time, IIRC.
