I just got a tablet!

Please don't make fun, I drew it without reference and it's my first time using a tablet .

Now this is my chance to critique your work!!

The ground work has been laid but it needs more shading and more work plus the nose just doesn't look right to me. The proportions and feature look alright otherwise but it was just a quick rough drawing right?

It's a wacom Graphire3 4x5 and I used photoshop.

I had a look at the http://emmdoubleew.deviantart.com/gallery/ site and saw your drawings. Personally I think if you put a little more planning into the hair it would come out fine. Apart from that there was no obvious problem and I think you've got faces nailed down. Try to work on something else to wided your palette like body shape, or flowers or whatever, it all helps in the end.

P.S. I would have posted in the deviant art site it looks like I'd had to have had signed up.

Although I have to say that your statement is true past all meaning. I hate having to go outside my comfort zone for some drawings, but if you work on something long enough it will be included in your comfort zone. That's my Philosophy on that anyway!!! :naughty:

You mentioned that you can't draw hands.. well, neither can I, but spending a little time just drawing my own hands helped me out a lot when you need to draw hands, use your own as reference
