I just played on a disgraceful server - Take note

I played on this server called |WP|Canadian CS:S www.wolfpackden.com

This was the worst server I ever played on. At first, when I started playing, I actually complimented the admin on the server cuz it looked like there was a cool bunch of peeps playing, a good rotation and all that. Then on the next map more clan buddies joined and that's where it got ridiculous.

Everybody in the clan gave eachother 16000$ to start with and also rewarded others with money for no good reason. I proceded to cuss them out saying they are power hungry cheating admins and that they don't know how to run a server properly.

What a disgrace, what's even more disturbing is that I was the only one to speak up and say something about this terrible place.

I'm gonna go to their site now and let them know some more how I feel.

Uh, maybe if it was a non-clanned public server you could complain, but they paid money for this server and it's effectively theirs. They have every right to do what they want. If you don't like what they're doing, why not just leave and join another server instead of kicking up a huge fuss?

If you're gonna run a server and cheat and favor your clan members then what's the point? Why make it a public server then?

I just posted this because I know others, including yourself, have had similar experiences before and maybe you weren't a little ticked off like I am but I speak up when I see stuff like this going on. I don't leave quietly, I gotta voice my opinion so I did on their server and i'm posting it here too.

I want to give this server bad rep, that's why I caused a fuss.

Unless you're paying those monthly bills, your opinion really holds no value. In truth, they're doing you and the public a favor by hosting it as a public server. They're paying the bills, so they can literally do whatever they want, they don't owe the public in hosting a fair server. And like what other's have already said, you don't have to play there.

I just don't like when I play on a server with not 1 but many dictators.

I tell them how I feel, because I am right, regardless if my opinion is worth something or not. Then I get kicked or banned and that's the end of it.

Now i'm gonna go to another server, a nice one hopefully, with cool dudes and I will thank them for providing me a good, equal and fair atmosphere to play in.

I think you should still respect the players that join your server. We are the ones that keep it going. Lose our respect and your server and all the $$$ you put into it will have a short lifespan.

I joined this one where everyone was a racist and laughing about Hurricane Katrina because it rid them of black people. Racism was against the rules so I emailed an admin, who never replied. Then I read more into their rules and found out you had to pay to admin, and anyone could buy into the server. One of those douches turned out to be one of the "shareholders".

I really don't see the point of this thread. They are admin, they are in command, they give the money, and be happy they don't make the other peoples have no-clip. Just because they give other people money dosen't mean you have to make a fuss out of it. There are MANY other servers to play in. If the other players aren't mad, don't ruin their fun and point out a problem that they have no problems with. Just join another server and if the other players don't like what the admins are doing just let them quit and join another server too.

I think it would be nifty if there was some kind of a forum black list of bad servers that could be typed into console and immediatly taken off the server list. It might really help finding good servers and stopping flow to servers like these.

these guys may pay for the server and all...and they very well have every right to do whatever they want but i like to join servers which give a fair chance to both teams and all players...so yeah, i'd rather find out from someone else if a server is good from a gameplay/fair teams stand point.

You know if you join a server and really like it, add it to your favorites. it is more useful than you can believe. Want to play in a good server? switch over to your Favorites tab (on your server list) and there you go, awsome servers you picked out.

I stronly agree. This is the same reason I quit my clan and stopped playing on the server.(The Configuration [cvar]). I like to play a game of CS where its the way valve intended it to be. No extra money and shit. I know it is their server but they are abusing their admin i think. I went on the servers list and found a few good ones that dont have anything like that.
