K, since I was having trouble making a Source server, I followed some instructions somewhere in this thread. Since I done that, my entire Steam has messed up. I keep getting this error when trying to open Steam and I DONT WANT TO REINSTALL! Imagine how painful it will be installing CoD2 over again...

In the end, reinstalling is just a matter of time and mouse-clicks. And you'll be using a lot more time and mouse clicks sitting there until someone answers your question.

"Without appropriate access rights" usually refers to your type of account. Is the account you are using a limited or an administrator account?

You can check this by going to the configuration panel and double clicking on "user accounts".

And to answer your question, I am an administrator.
