I was never one to care much about nature, I could find hiking a drag quite often(though not always), and all that rot, but after moving to Sacramento from Ithaca, New York I really am starting to miss it. No maple trees, no oaks or birches, or anything natural. It was all chopped down to make room for the probably thousands of houses just in my area alone which occupy a crapload of land.

I haven't seen an acorn or maple propeller seed thingy in years, I'm starting to miss that crap. I also miss streams and waterfalls and just all these random natural things I could see, even if just out my window. I miss snow, and I miss irregular weather. I miss being able to walk across town in an hour, or walking barefoot downtown. Only thing I don't miss is the humidity.

Just figured Iwould share my sentimental ravings :(

God, what part of town are you in? elk grove?

come on over to montana and kill yourself a deer. that adventure should hold you over for a couple of months.

natomas, think more westly. the whole area is just houses and hosues and houses and houses with some shopping plazas in the more easternish bit, stil interspersed with houses

and they keep building more ****ing houses

eventually we will get nuked and start it all over again; except after being nuked we will have trees the size of buildings and dogs that have 10 legs.

we already have trees the size of buildings :P

:O If tree's had penis's, gosh you know how huge they'd be?!?!

what do you think branches are?
edit: and where do you think maple syrup comes from?

I thought that came from capturing a wild Canadian Mounty and stealing his venom which can be processed to make...maple syrup.

You should come and live near me...maybe I will upload some pictures of my town and show you what its like tha the moment. A week ago would have been better because of the autumn leaves, most of them are gone because of the frost now.

Where I live you can walk in any direction and you won't wind up anywhere worthwhile for an hour or more :P takes 15-20 minutes to get into the centre of town by car.

At my school Sac means Student Activity Centre and all the young children will make dirty jokes from the way it is pronounced

Move to the desert!

come to nebraska... we got some trees but its just really, really flat

although i like it how the cities are more spread out... at least lincoln, NE is...

if i moved to NY i would probably miss that... also rent is pretty cheap out here in the midwest

yeah, we don't have hills here either. not a one here in sacramento. If I drive for fifty miles then I can see some hills.

I just have to get past the endless suburbs and vacant lots
