I really need to play a new game. I only have Doom 3, Call of Duty, HL2. That is about it. I need a new game really bad. I have nothing to play anymore. I get bored of these games I have. The multiplayer on all gets very boring. I'm not really into games with witch craft and whatnot, but I am willing to play a game like that. A strategy game like Age of Empires is good, but it has to be better than good for me to like it.

Please can someone help me find a new game to put on my computer? I would appreciate it a lot.

From the look of you're post, you seem to be a fairly casual PC gamer (no offense if you're a "hardcore" gamer) so I'd recommend waiting about a month or two and get Battlefield 2 (Website) . That should keep you good and entertained for a while.

In all honesty though, World Of Warcraft (Website) seems to be the game at the moment (aside from HL2) so I wouldn't be surprised if you played it and liked it.

Some things about World Of Warcraft that might not appeal to you is that it requires a monthly fee (first month free) and it deals with, as you put it, witch craft and dragons and you're good ol' D&D type stuff. Apart from that, it's supposed to be incredibly fun and entertaining, it's also easy to use for new MMO players.

Give it a try, I think you'll like it.

PC only?

Check out Chronicles of Riddick (better than Far Cry and Doom 3 imo)

If you're in to multiplayer action, UT2004.
And yeah, World of Warcraft is extremely addictive..

Yes, PC ONLY.

I am not interested in paying a monthly fee to play a videogame. Althought, I do think I will get Guild Wars when that comes out. It looks like a decent game and no fee to play it.

I do really like multiplayer, its just some of the games multiplayer gets terribly boring and when you play without friends, you just can't help but to feel bored as hell.

Chronicles of Riddick? Really? It just did not look like a good game to me, but maybe I will give it a try.

I would also like to find a Single player game that doesn't get boring after the first hour of playing. Thanks for your help guys.

Starcraft.
Buy It.
Play It.
Love the 100k Community.
Play the UMS
Pwn in any UMS type.
Wish you had played it when it came out in 1998.

It may have shity graphics but the gameplay, (Plus 3 races ABSOLUTLY nothing in any way not how they build or anything at all is really similar to another and yet it is almost perfectly balanced).

It also has a great storyline, decent voice acting(For the campagin, the untis voice acting is very pleasing to the ear), and everything.

Just check out any game by Blizzard.
(Blizzard made: Wc Series(Including WoW), Sc Series, Diablo Series).
I don't believe one of there pc games have ever felt short of phenominal.

As mentioned Chronicles of Riddick is a good game to waste some time on, and it seems to be really cheap too so its worth the risk.

FarCry is also probably down in price now so its wirth checking that out.

I would have to say though, you seem to be desperate to play games and these will only satisfy you for a week at the most so an online game might be a way to go.

World of Warcraft is definitely worth looking at, I have hated games to do with magic and fantasy stuff, but I just love WoW. If you want more of an FPS multiplayer game then I think PlanetSide is still doing a 7 day free trial (http://cmt.ubisoft.fr/planetside_pcgamer/) and Neocron is also a good game to check out. It was better a year ago and has quite a high learning curve but its worth it for the combat. It also has a 7 day free trial (www.neocron.com).

EDIT: Be on the lookout for Brothers In Arms too, I believe thats a Feb release.

Ah yes, Starcraft. I played that a lot back in the day...sniff...
Serve the hive! Groove control! I control, the way you move!

Check out Enemy Territory too.

Best clan game around - and it's free \o/

Chronicles of Riddick and Warhammer: Dawn Of War are what I have been playing lately. Riddick pwns Doom, but it just 'sneaked' into the gaming market, the lil' bastard. :D

Tony Hawk's Underground 2, Need for Speed: Underground 2, or Pirates!. I love all three.

Although it's old, Knights of the Old Republic kept me glued to the screen for hours! It's control style is weird but you can get used to it after 10 minutes. And it has a very good story line, with plenty of twist to keep you hooked til the end. And you should be able to get it fairly cheaply now. :( No Multiplayer :(

Starcraft: Brood War (the expansion to Starcraft) is the best choice.

After that, UT2004, Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War, Chronicles of Riddick, Star Wars: Battlefront (I liked it :P), Battlefield 2, Battlefield 1942 & Expansions, Battlefield Vietnam, Deus Ex (NOT invisible war), Knights of the Old Republic...

Sid Meier's Pirates!
-Got it today, played for 6 hours and can't wait to play some more (I'm at work :()

Warcraft 3
-Bought this when it came out. 2nd Best money spent on a game ever! I still play it a ton (just about every day). Not the actual game mind you...but custom games on bnet. DOTA has a hold on me :P (A hero vs. hero game with 60 unique heroes complete with all new abilities and plenty of all new items to boot). If you play this go to www.dota-allstars.com to d/l the map. People don't let you d/l the map on bnet. My name on bnet is AmishSlayer if anyone wants to look me up.

Starcraft
-Bought this from a friend for $1.50 ($3 for Carmageddon and SC :P ). Best money spent on a game ever! Once again...not the actual game anymore (I've played the regular SC game more than WC3 regular games) but the custom games are fun as hell. If you don't mind dated graphics...go for this one now.

If you get these now they will last you for a long long time if you like playing custom games and rpg maps the community has made.

Wowa dude thanks for the link. I loved Dota but after a few versions well...as a 56ker you can only imagine the dl speeds I must get.
Finally I can get back in Dota and pwn.

It's amazing how far starcraft has come.
From the days of the normal campagin editor.
Then to do the days of the emerald series. Who would of thought we could take it furthor?
Guedit and Scmtoolkit rushed along to protect maps and change colors and things. Along with Him2000 and zapplacer. And eventually X-tra. Who would of thought anyone would ever take 1 step furthor.
With starforge, scmdraft 2, and proedit.

From the basic campagin edtior to starforge. Mappers kept so much alive. And even like 7 years after it's release people still gaze at the starcraft manual trying to figure out things for the starcraft 2 storyline.

Starcraft did not rely on mods like HL did to stay alive. It relied on something much diffrent, something that allowed it to also have by far one of the biggest communites alive. I remember getting on and seeing 200,000 people on. Starcraft relied on perfect gameplay, perfect balance, an such poor coding that kept mappers intriuged on ways to expand the mapping experince.

From the maps blizzard made, to the melee, to the replays to the Rpgs, to the bounds, to the aeon of strifes, to the defenses, to the bunker wars, to the Open Rpgs, to the Rp's, to the Diplomacy, to the Civilzation, to the Battlen.net experince, to the duke & kerrigan have sex, to the Thing, to the Golems, to the MTG's, to the blow iraq up, to the anything.
Starcraft is by far one of the greatest clasics and will still be played 10 years(Onless Sc2 comes out of course) after its release.

Starcraft is just one of those games that show that insane gameplay and shity graphics and poor coding, and insane balance can equal the best thing in the world.

I'd take Guild Wars anyday over Rose Online. I played it...errr..
I'd rather not fight little critters. I'd take kickin some huge big ass beast any day.

ROME: TOTAL WAR

omg, what a game- epic battle scenes (like straight out of the Return of the King -if your comp can hack it) and wicked campaign turn-based strategy.
hours of addictive fun, and then there's multiplayer!

Oh man. Dota's new version just got leaked :) It's not totally complete and balanced...but there's 8 new heroes to play with, new items, reworked old heroes and completely different terrain. Very cool. You can't get it from www.dota-allstars.com but you can find it on bnet. TDA was pissed about it leaking but now they're just gonna use it for bug testing.

Even though WoW is much more fun, $15 is nothing to earn.
