I need an opinion on what game to buy for myself...

because I'm too old really to get them for Christmas and want to choose for myself with my own money.

There's nothing really that I'm interested in tbh until Just Cause 2 comes out, but both Condemned and Saint's Row 2 interests me. Condemned I can find in a bargain bin for cheap, so this'll allow me some room to buy a late Christmas gift for someone. Saint's Row 2 looks interesting, but is slightly more expensive. I like San Andreas, so will I like this? Alternately, I like horror/FPSs, but will Condemned be worth 19$ or so?

Also, looking to buy a game for my little gamer nephew. He's only 7 and loves to play violent games like GTA despite ESRB ratings saying he's far too young. Should I just get him a game like Banjo Kazooie instead? Going to Gamestop. Running out of time. Last minute gifts. Go.

All I can think of instead of Saints Row 2 is GTA4.

And really anything that you can think of besides Condemned will probably be a better buy.

I've heard of it. Made by Rockstar right? I don't know anything about it though other than that. Setting/characters etc. I'll look it up and glance over at some screenshots somewhere.

I've already beaten RF:Guerrilla. Great game but short.

Nah, it's Pandemics final game before their big lay off. It's set in Paris during WWII and tasks you with helping along the French resistance. Not a bad game.

Saints Row 2 is ridden with issues. Framerate issues are even present on high end systems.
It's a good game in terms of gameplay but a poor port.

Get Saints Row 2. Do NOT get your nephew Banjo Kazooie unless you plan to go out and buy an N64 and get the old two. Get him...uh...Earth Defense Force 2017. It'll give him a bunch of stuff to shoot.

Personally, I love Condemned. Like most games, you could argue that it could have been better, but that doesn't stop it from being the kind of awesome I couldn't even dream of playing when I was a kid.

Smashing a wooden plank across the face of some sick **** until it splinters into shreds, then rip an electrical conduit from the wall and try to hit a home-run on a psycho's face. Shit, I killed a couple bastards with a directions marquee, picked up a pistol he dropped, and shot a ****er in the face, after I lured him out from hiding behind a pillar.
