Foxtrot, get any song by your favorite bands and listen to them all through, you should find some new favorties.

I recommend The Rain Song - Led Zeppelin

Good classic collection so far, might want to add some newer stuff to get a different variety

Try some A Perfect Circle, Tool, Velvet Revolver, and Nirvana.

My top reccomendation is to get some of The Doors, if you like those bands you will love them. Also Thin Lizzy, they are in the same classic rock genre

Try putting your favorite bands into musicplasma.com and seeing who it recommends (closer to your starting band means closer in style... I think bigger dots mean more popular). It may not be incredibly accurate but it's a good jumping-off point...

I typed in jim morrison and it just gave me results with people who had Jim or Morrison in their name

It isn't understanding your input. It is giving suggestions of people with similar names to see if you typed something wrong or didn't know the exact name of the band.

Try "The Doors" instead of "Jim Morrison"...
