i need some help. please.

right now i am pretty sure that i am almost done with the level "water hazard" (the fourth one) i am in my airboat in a small dam area. i know there is a ladder somewhere in this area, but i cannot find it.

if anyone can help me, that would be really great. if u need more information on where i am at, just ask me.

You need to go to the gate on the extreme edge (opposite to the point you come into the area) of the lake area you're in. There is a short ladder up to a platform where you can open the gate. Then you can walk up to the building, over to the dam and open the gate you need to progress.

i dont see any gate where im at. thanks a lot u guys for the help. ill post a screenshot if someone tells me how to.

Did you actually look in the 4 mins between his post and yours??
I would suggest looking in the Options-Keyboard to see which button creates a screenshot, then go to your HL2 directory and attach it to a post. It wouldn't be much help of course, since we know where you are and I thought his description was pretty excellent.

yes im still looking. it just doesnt make sense. i am in a small area and have circled around the dam about 20 times, but still cant see it.

A small area? Circled around the dam? Doesn't sound like the place pomegranate was talking about ... any distinguishing items/objects about?
