I need to win a tournament in my university. Tell me how can I outsmart my opponents. I haven't played this game for the last 2 years coz I've been up with Undergrounds. Any cheats? Any multiplater tips would be really appreciated.

Drafting is helpful

take corners by going from the outside lane, turn to the inside lane, once you are done turning go back to the outside lane

Use fast cars :P

Learn the map

What Dalarmari said, learn the map. Also stick to a specific car. Use manual instead of automatic; if your not sure how to, try practicing.

Don't crash. If someone is infront of you, draft your way up to their rear end and give them a swift nudge in their rear wing, sending them spinning off the road.

I haven't played this game in ages, but I think NFS4 is what you should play. It's the best of the series and runs on slower computers aswell. I didn't like HP2 at all, why are you having a tournament in that?!

That's what cops call a 'pit bull' manuver. Basically, come up from behind and nudge their rear corner and they'll spin out. A good example is on a curve that turns left, get up one their left rear bumper and push. they should lose control allowing you to pwn them with ease. If they try to do the same to you, counter steer in the opposite direction they are nudging you. ie: They are pitting your back left corner, counter steer to the right when they hit you.

Need For Speed 2 was the best. Countless nights up playing that game on my old Pentium 166 laptop.

Anyway, my suggestion is use a manual tranny and learn how to corner well.

They can pit an SUV even if it means putting the driver in danger. The reasoning is that putting 1 person in danger is preferable to having him smash into a family van or school bus.

edit: It's probably more preferable for cop to box in a dangerous driver, or blow out his tires, etc...

http://media.ebaumsworld.com/index.php?e=mustangspin.wmv <- pit is used but the driver is pretty skilled...

Cops nowadays could care less if they put the driver in danger.
Remember they're basically criminals with badges.
