I recorded my car

Audi TT, 225BHP Quattro, twin exhausts.

I had nothing to do, so recorded these clips:

revving bollocks off

lift off with esp on

driveby of mic

I used a m-s pair (pair of microphones that needs processing to get the stereo image), plonked it down on the tarmac on a stand behind the car, inbetween the exhausts (audi TT 225bhp), and recorded the lot through my mixer, onto an Archos AV400 (hard disc recorder).

Because it was night time, and because I can't monitor the sound and drive the car together, the audio isn't spot on, but its not bad for a blind attempt.

I also recorded some audio from the boot, but it was way distorted, easily fixable but its too late tonight Maybe tomorrow instead! :E


PS Don't worry, nighttime, private road, in the middle of nowhere, and no I wasn't speeding.

PPS If you have surround, turn it on, because this is prologic compatiable.

i love cars.

I got an Audi a4 1.9TDI. Im 18 mind...so insurance is a problem .Its running at 125bhp atm..leaves virtually anything i have a little **Race** against standing. Just tonight, was drivig around with the missus, and this lad in a Saxo VTR wanted a pop...he starts reving his little 8valve petrol crap thing. So i reved mine lo...not the best noise in the world, cos of the dieselness..but the turbo makes a nice WHOOSH!! anyways...left him standing at the lights..i let him catch a little, i was allready in 3rd, then dropped it a gear, left him standing lol...funny really.

Disturbed... lol that sounds rough! sounds like the exhaust manifold is loose or something!

heh, I only just sold my A4 3 weeks ago. 1.9Tdi SE, 110bhp. I did over 80 000 miles in that car over 4 years, was a beauty.

In a way, I was quite sad to see it go. But then again:

Exhaust manifold had a nice crack in it, not to mention the tap from the pyrometer was removed, thats why it sounded like that

Parot :- Thats a nice vehicle!!! Im trying to get a test drive on one..because my local VW / Audi dealer have messed me about. so im blaggin them for some test drives. Im thinking along the lines of an Audi A8 (theyre so LUXURY) and a TT. Want the TT more...mmmmmm speed. Is yours the quatro?? Sorry jsut seen the badge.. nice car that...nice indeed. FANCY A RACE?? LMFAO!!!
