I see games have being geting more atention recently,good or bad thing?

I see there is a documental in discovery channel about the history of videogames,even if I dont consider it that great

and a very crappy show on Mtv hosted by the most retarded host ever

even in CNN it was mentioned stuff like the top selling games and things like that

I remenber time back you barely noticed something about videogames in tv or other media
well from the time I have living

but honestly I dont like this too much,everyone knows what happens when something get mainstream

so what you thinks of games geting like more atention and becoming more mainstream?well if this havent happened before

anyway we all know why this is happening, "the videogames industry is bigger that the movie industry" and now everyone take a look

Games have been mainstream since the PSX and to a lesser degree the SNES.

I`m still waiting for a game that manages to realistically simulate death, pain, agony, etc. That all asks for a good physics engine ofcourse, can`t make that blood and brainmatter flow around on its own.

That day will be the best in my life.
I wanna see what the media says then.

Well, with the amount of money involved with this industry, esp. what with next-gen dev costs (and prices), its no surprise that people are starting to take notice. Money talks after all....

I think its neither entirely good or entirely bad. It will bring with it the same pitfalls that other media inustries have. The videogame industry is maturing and maturation can be a painful process, but it is bound to be a good thing overall in the end...(I hope).
