I have a P4 2.4 HT, 500MB RAM, GEForce4 128MB and using the latest drivers for my graphics card. When I start HL2 I can hear a few seconds of sound but never see any video and then my monitor behaves as if the PC has been shut off by displaying the amber power saving button instead of the green power light.
