I'm 13 years old. I remember trying to play myst a long time ago...it didnt work. Well i found the CD again so i decided to take it for a spin. Well...I've unlocked the following "worlds" the one you get with the big tree, the one you get with the boat, and the one you get with the crank things. Now...these "worlds" are so effing hard!!! What the hell do you do in them?!?!? I mean i cant find anything to do!! (apart from some things that dont help at all and just end up confusing you.) Well..any help? What is the game about?! What is up with the books?

I got into the spaceship...but what is with the piano thing?

I hope some of you still have the game...it's worth playing if you haven't. Even though it's just a slide show...kind of. Very interesting.

"Here, eat a cookie, and by the time you leave, you'll be as right as rain"

i thought that on the other side of the rocket is like a clue to what you have to play, like it plays the tune and you need to play it on the piano. I cant remember, its been a while :P

i just started playing myst 1 too, but i'm also replaying The Dig which has first priority :X

Look on the net for a strat guild. Its way to hard to explain how to beat Myst. Took me few days to beat 1st one. The 2nd is 10x harder. Playing 2nd now after that im going to start the 3rd.

Wow, I haven't played that one in a while. I've got Riven for the PS it's online 5 CDs.

I remember the piano in the spaceship, but I can't remember how to get it going. I think it's pretty obvious once you get it, but I can't remember now.

You know there are LOTS of sites that probably have walk-throughs, but I'd consider that cheating. I'd rather play through alone than rely on a walk-through. Maybe could get a single clue at some sites though.

Ok, I've found a hint site and have extracted an image that will help you at this point. I was careful to not include anything else so as to not ruin the game.

If you wish to use this cheat to get past this point, click on the link below.

i have the strat guide from waaaaayyyy back, i tell u. OH CRAP I LOST IT NOOOO

but i remeber how. the whole piont of the game is to find a number, one single numgber. this number relates to the books in the library. look for the books in teh library that have a map of the little cubes like the ones in teh chimeny. enter that pattern into the chimeny, that goes with the number u find out, and u have beaten the game

what ever u do, dont give the red and blue books all there pages

You will know what that is at the end of the game :)

Or Save before you do :P

It's such a wierd game...i need to get the strategy guide. What happens if u put all the pages in the books?

i played myst 3 today, it was a lot easier then i thought it would be. Except the nature world, that was a little hard to get around in. Great game though! Riven still ownz :P

u wil get goatsed

if you must know search for goatse on google images.
BUT YOU WILL BE SCARRED FOR LIFE

And the point of the game is to bring back the red and blue pages from all the worlds and put them in the books. The last pages will make one tell you a page number, and the other will tell you which book.

how do u get page numbers? and which pages do u NOT put in? I already put the pages from the mechanical cranker thing age in the book (blue, i only found a blue one. Are there two in each level?) and currently i have the blue one from the boat age but i cant get back to the normal level, like the "hub" with the library and everything...

Oh i also put the pages which were beside the books at the start of the game. I'm gunna search that on google images nbow...

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Holy shit!!!!! i searched it!!!! *pukes* wtf is that for?!

u can beat myst in under 5 minutes. Flick all the sitches on the island, and go back to one by the docks flick that one last and it should open... revealing the white page.

Go to the fireplace ... pop in the code... and head to dn' i. your finished.

PEACE

Mike

I loved the Myst games. Riven was a bitch, because you had to learn their whole number system.

The great thing about the Myst games is it has a really interesting story behind it. I mean, to understand it fully, you have to beat Myst, Riven, and read the book that was published. I remember borrowing the book from a friend, and it really explains the story really well. I think it was called "Myst: Book of Atrus". Definately look into it after you beat both games.

EDIT: Oh, and about Goatse, check this out.

And no, you don't have to worry about seeing more Goatse in this link.
