I stopped just before the boat scene, I just couldn't, ot's just soo damn good, in every possible gameplay way it just beats the competition, it just fell akward, the feeling of such satisfaction after I paid 58,- euro's for the retail, its just unnatural, HL2=Hard drug, OMG I feel the urge to play again, goddamn, must hold out, must be more powerfull than hl2, but it so so good, I must destroy my comp, this is getting out of hand.

i stopped playing, because the game literally made me feel sick. im not joking either. i just started hazardous water, so i thought i better turn it off before i vomit onto my keyboard.

i dont know why some games make me feel sick when i start playing them. i remember goldeneye, gta1 and quake 3 all did the same. aahh well, they were all great games, and hl2 has been sweet so far :E

I stayed up until 3am. I was sitting at my desk waiting for it to unlock (which took longer than I thought it would), put my head down and fell asleep for 2 hours. I woke up and played for an hour and had to go to work! I'm sitting at work now finding any reason to leave, but I can't play anyway, because I have teacher conferences for my kids later! Arrghh!

Hell I'm still working on Doom 3 and I got that when it came out.

It took me a while to finish Doom 3, but only because I would get bored with it after a couple of hours and would lose all desire to play for a day or two.

With Half-Life 2, on the other hand, I had to literally force myself to stop playing after only two hours, and then only because it was 5 a.m. and I wanted to get at least a little sleep before having to head off to work!

That said, I plan on taking things slow, but there is so much detail in this game that at least two play throughs is an absolute must. Right now, I'm looking forward to replaying it just as much as I am to finishing it!

That is my problem with all games. I tend to blow through them so fast that then I am left wondering what to do the day after I bought it. I played KOTOR straight through basically over a long weekend and only got to play the dark side once afterwards. When KOTOR II comes out for Xbox, I will probably get it and make it last a few weeks. Morrowind is about the only game I can go back to and play over. I hope HL2 has a lot of replay value other than multi-player modes like Counter-Strike.

So far, it is looking like it will only take me a couple of days to beat it on the hardest enemy setting. Unless things get a lot harder that is. The puzzles may get me hung up more than anything.
