I don't know why i stopped, but i just stopped.

I ****ing loved season 1 and 2. Loved the shit out of it!

Should i keep watching? Am i in for awesomeness?

Ah, the Lee/Kara thing has made you stop as well.

I suppose you should keep at it. The season finale is... interesting.

Well, the series overall isn't bad but the excessive focus on interpersonal relationships, and "OMG the drama!!!11" really pisses me off. I don't care about who's ****ing who and that the prez has got cancer and blablabla, if I wanted that I would've watched a soap opera. And the whole religious androids thing was just bizzare.

Yeah, the drama gets a bit too excessive some times.

That love quadrangle was incredibly annoying, but I pressed onward.
Yes, keep watching if not for the intriguing events that follow.

I'm on Episode 1 of Season 3 at the moment and I have not the slightest of a desire to stop watching. My roommate claims the third season is the best though so I would recommend you keep watching :p

Ennui... the first episodes are the best. It goes downhill from there.

The first half of season 3 is great. The second half suffered greatly from far too many filler episodes.

I have high hopes for season 4, if you do too then keep watching so you know what's going on.

Second half of season 3 had a lot of standalone "fillers" because the SCI FI channel apparently pressured the producers to add in more standalones.

The fourth season will be the very last season of BSG, and the producers have said that SCIFI will let them do their own thing for the final season. In other words, it's going to be a breakneck-speed rollercoaster ride in the next 20 episodes.

Work through the bullshit to get to the end of the season. Totally worth it.

I'd also recommend skipping the episode with the boxing. That's a complete filler episode. They introduce romantic issues and resolve them in a boring 42 minute stretch. Then they go through the rest of the season as if it never happened.

Ronald D Moore was pretty apologetic about the latter half of the season (check out his episode podcasts). They had to do a few 'personal' episodes simply because they had drastically overspent their budget with the opening quartet or so of beginning episodes because of all the location work involved on New Caprica (plus armies of extras etc). A lot of the 'relationship' stuff was deeply annoying, but the season picked up considerably at the end. The OP should stick with it.

Looking forward to Season 4 :D

Ah well that would explain things then. I've read Ron's blog but I haven't gotten around to his podcasts yet.

It's worth sticking with it, I think, because it's still damned entertaining (about halfway through S3 right now). But that said I keep watching it and going "man that could have been done better." I felt the whole occupation situation was a bit squandered and muted - could have been more in-depth, more interesting and more vivid before everyone returned to the ship, Adama shaved his moustache and everything was back to normal.

The very fact that the ship even appears in the first episode seems to me to be an indication of weakness, a mildly disappointing cowardice.

The suicide bombing? That should have happened in the first five minutes.
