CptStern said:kidrock dont you have to be over 18 to buy GTA SA?
In most stores, yes. I don't think there should be a law preventing people under 18 to buy M rated games. And if there is, then there should be a law preventing people under 18 to buy R-rated movies and "Parental Advisory" CDs. Fortunately, the crazy, sandy vagina'd soccer moms haven't TOTALLY gotten rid of the 1st amendment yet.CptStern said:kidrock dont you have to be over 18 to buy GTA SA?

KidRock said:yes I had to have your mommy buy me a copy stern.
CptStern said:hmmm I guess you didnt know that "M" means mature
That is very true. Why can't people just accept the fact that there are many, many good games on this earth, and just because I like HL2 more doesn't mean that you won't prefer the open-ended play in GTA?Warbie said:Fanboys see other fanboys everywhere. The rest of us just see a few idiots.
KidRock said:Of course I knew...hence the reason i brought along good ol mama stern to buy me the game.
It is hard to agree with you but you make a good point. Do you mean to say that minors shouldn't play M games because they can't handle the content or because what they might do would look bad for games?CptStern said:hmmm take porno as an example ...would your parents allow you to buy porno underage, because they know "you're not going to run out and get a girl pregnant"? Look guys sorry but I really wish all of you who buy games underage wouldnt ...you're just shooting the game industry in the foot. All it takes is one more columbine style killings linked to gaming and that's it: forced censorship all because some minors decided they wanted that game even though they arent old enough to legally purchase it ..you'll understand when you're older.
The people clamoring for censorship in games are just waiting for an opportunity to do so ...they'll use the ratings system as an example as to how it doesnt prevent minors from playing games that are not made for them

Bait said:I don't understand why people think that after the age of 18 people suddenly become super mature adults. It's easy to argue that there are kids out there around 14-17 years of age who could potentially be more mature and more "mentally ready" for these M rated games than some other 18+ year olds.
I dunno... I think most of that made sense. Ah well, back to fantasizing about HL2 I guess.

That's exactly the kind of attitude we don't want around here. I suggest you think carefully before you post next time, and consider this a logged warning.Bad^Hat said:They'll probably grow up to be fags lol.
