I think he's a ninja!

Being a long time mmorpg gamer, let me just say that sucks... heh.

I got a few laughs, even though I don't play WoW, I understood most of it from teh few MMORPGs i've played.

wasnt that funny but twas alright...bit odd lol

I love that little slide show.

I think you need to play WoW though to truly appreciate it though, I don't think playing other MMORPG's will be enough. Even though its my third time watching that I still actually lol a bit.

why would you NEED to play wow. I've never touched it and know 1/2 the lingo.

"Quest is red lol" obviously can't play the quest

SS? Soul Stone? everybody has seen Leroy Jenkins.

That's the only ones I can think of that mighta been difficult for those of non wowers

Saw that from another forum and it's good stuff. haha

A red quest is obtainable, but really hard. If you cannot yet obtain a quest it shows up as a silver "!" over the NPCs head (as opposed to the yellow "!" that shows up for a quest you can get) or if it's too far above you it doesn't show anything.

Yes, SS is Soul Stone. This is a Warlock spell, that uses a Soul Shard (gathered by using Drain Soul on a creature as it dies). The spell creates the Soul Stone, which is then "used" on a selected part member (usually the healer). The effect lasts 30 minutes, until the stone wears off, and during that time the person with the Stone can revive themselves after dying (once - the Stone is consumed in the process).

"Breathe"

Ha! I laughed at that because a) it was so random and b) that scene in the movie always cracks me up for some reason.

If there wasn't the additional fees involved, I would likey have played through WoW already.

hahah.

anyone have links to other lotr gif .. stories ?

Looking for Mum, Looking for Gays, **** the President and 'poo'.

LFM = Looking for more ...when a party is formed with not enough players

LFG = Looking for people ..same as above

aggro is when a single player baits monsters to follow the player towards the other members of his party

Its not just understanding the lingo though its other more subtle things like how they say stuff or how they act. At least thats what does it for me.

Or alternatively, the 'aggro radius' of a creature means the distance at which it will try to eat you. The radius is higher the lower level you are in comparison, and vice versa (so if you're level 60 a lvl 1 monster won't attack you, a level 20 monster you'd have to be standing right on top of).

If you say 'oh shit, I aggroed' you mean 'oh shit, the monster saw me and wants to eat me.'

That entire thing reminds of The Barrens chat, by far the coolest chat in all of WoW.

Don't **** with the xroads. :)

It's a channel in WoW, so no linky.

It's pretty much the 2nd major area you go to in the game if you're Horde, full of level 20's and you get a fair amount of Alliance running through there. I assume it got that way because after hitting level 20 most players got a chip on their shoulder and an inflated ego, after which it just perpetuated itself.
Full of constant "LFG LFG LFG", "u fkn nub", "OMG WHERE IS INNKEEPER O NVM I FOUND HIM", "stfu you ****** douche bag", and "u aggro'd them u shit!" comments. People randomly blurt out how awesome a bag of chips they're eating is, engage in pseudo-political discussion about how male fertility is dropping because of chemicals in the water, and there are unanimous outcries of "**** THE ALLIANCE LOLOLOLOL LOSER ****ERS" whenever a raid has been impeded.

On most english servers, barrens chat also includes rants about other people speaking foreign languages in general... same goes for Ironforge too
