I think my computer has a virus :(

Perhaps 'virus' is a big word here. I think this is more like spyware. Ok. This is the second time it happens. I was reading my e-mail and then this little window popped up.

I have no idea what that means. I scanned my PC with Spyware Doctor, earlier today, and it found some stuff which I deleted manually because you have to pay for a subscription to do it otherwise. Then I ran the program again and it found nothing, leading me to think that my PC was clean. But now this crap? A .wmf file? What should I do?

Hmm, yeah sounds like you do need to reformat. Might wanna make a saperate partition for data and another for windows so if this happens again you dont lose anything important just a reinstall of windows.

Great,somehow while browsing the forum,I got the exact same virus,same symptoms,even the preview not available thing,its a trojan......luckily it seems to be only in temporary internet folder.time to clear my cache.

Make sure to check registry, I don't have any tips, it would take a long time, but it can recreate itself.

I formatted my hard drive ---and now I have automatic updates running in the background. I feel much better now
