This is for all mappers out there, I can't wait to try some insanely hard or puzzely maps so you ppl better get at work right now for I can't map like shit and I'm eager to play custom maps !

I think most people are waiting for the sdk update (no idea when it will be or if there will be one)

The editor is available with the Source SDK right now; the Hammer editor.

However, before you can "officially" make custom maps for Portal, they need to release the configuration files. Some people have acquired them, and are making their own maps right now. Until then, you could just make a HL2 map, and worry about making the surfaces right later.

The one thing I love about this community is the playability of the games.

These games just last freakin' forever 'cuz of the community mods.

I'm hoping Portal will go the same way! =D
