Do you mind :) those designs were great, a friend of mine built/designed many of the I-war ships back then. He's now working on Captain Scarlet and has also done a Muse music video (I think it was them, was that one with the nifty CG space stuff in it). He knows what he's doing thanks :p:p

Sing For Absolution. Wicked CG :D

I never found a store that sold the I-War or its sequel. :( Always intrigued me. Supposed to be better than Wing Commander and Decent Freespace.

Those spaceship designs are impressively realistic/practical.

Looks boring...but good paper models.

Edit: Oh by the way mistress...not to be mean or anything, but playing magic is just as bad. ;)

Magic corrupted my friend. That, and some tabletop game.

He never became the same again...

Warhammer? I know a guy who moved to England for three years and came back with a huge suitcase full of those models :x

They're much better if you prefer a more realistic approach to your spacesims (hence the functional looking craft). It doesn't behave like the typical fighter-jock-in-space lameness and there's the option to go completely zero-gee physics if you want too.

While I-War was almost totally linear, the systems in Edge of Chaos are free-form explorable although you still have to do the plot-advancement bits in linear-level type fashion; and some of them are tough little challenges -- so tough that they scare off a lot of casual gamers.

Steven Robertson is one of the I-War developers. I say let's see him do a model of the Dreadnought (or any other ship with them thar circular collider rings...). I'm not geeky enough to design and make the models myself -- although I'd love a have a Mega Freighter hanging from the ceiling... :)
