Thats not a navy, its a naval defense force, the Japanese aren't allowed to have a real fully fledged and named military because they have a history of attacking other people with it.



In all seriousness though if I was to join a navy I'de just sign up to the British one, its normal, it speaks my language, and it has some history and pride, in Japan joining a branch of the self defense forces is looked down upon.
