I want to update my Bronze package to sliver can anyone help

Hi i got a free voucher when I bought my amd 3500 and I've been using it for a while it's only good for the bronze package and I want to update to silver package sense I heard you only pay 10 bucks more But I can't find any update deal anywhere saying you can update from one to the other and do it for cheaper without paying the whole price for silver can anyone tell me how to update to silver?

also I just read the thread below does the silver package have better effects than the bronze one I have? never heard of that guess I should just shell out the 50 bucks and buy silver huh> or can it be updated now?

You can't update your package. You're going to have to shell out some more cash, unfortunately.

I actually upgraded my package and I also had an ATI voucher.
I clicked on the webpage for the next one up (silver for example) and in steam when it got to the payment it showed the deduction from what I already paid for.

Not sure if you can still do it. Worked for me though (within a month of HL2's release).

That's weird, i wanted to upgrade too, so i sent an e-mail to the steam helpdesk. But the answer i got was that it wasn't possible, but might be possible in the future.

You can only upgrade ATi vouchers, retail and steam's bronze will stay bronze forever. However, they'll offer a cheaper hl:s&dod:s package when dod:s comes out.

Yeah it was to late for me so I just bought the silver for 59 bucks does halflife 2 have any better effects or anything with the silver package?

No, Half-Life 2 is the same.

Half-Life: Source (a Source port of the original) is the one with better effects.

Do you know this for sure? That would be nice, because i would like to own halflife1, too- do not have the original.

Thanks, did not know that. That's good news. I had heard something about dod:s being sold seperatly, but not that it would include hl:s.

how can i tell witch package i have. i simply bought the game i didnt have knoledge of bronze,silver and gold packages to the game. and wat are the defferences

slaze, you probably bought the retail game, did you?
the bronze, silver and gold packages are only available via internet from steam. the retail one that you buy in stores corresponds to the bronze steam version, including hl2 and cs:s.
