And now ive got to replay the russian campain from call of duty.

I know Im about the only one who likes EATG but so what.

I loved EATG but I thought the Russian campaign was dissapointing, again you are the only person who kills an enemy and you are often going alone solo.l The sniper missions are also really unrealistic, although the campaign did have its high points(mostly atmospheric).

I liked it too...WW2 and Nam is the best wars to make war movies about imo..

Enemy at the Gates was alright, but it paled in comparison to Saving Private Ryan.

I am playing the Russian campaign of United Offensive now. It is better than COD's.

I liked EATG too, and loved those levels in COD. For the record I've seen some of my teammates kick some copious ass in that campaign.

Everything pales in comparison to SPR. I left that movie feeling totally f'd in the head,. the result of a truly well made war movie

EATG was a good flick tho,. some quality cinimatography. Still, I must admit, there seemed do be some emotion missing from the equasion.

EATG was an awesome film! :D

Not played the russian bit of CoD though so i can't judge that :p

The Thin Red Line really ****s with your head, more then SPR IMHO.

But for fun combat, SPR is great.

EATG was pretty cool :D

The Thin Red line sucked, I can only take so many flash backs and staring at leaves in one movie.

I also loved EATG, hands down my favorite WWII film.

And i loved the Russian levels in CoD.

Enemy at the gates was great, and a large part of that is because it was pretty historically accurate...At least, as far as everything other than the details of the snipers :)

The Thin Red Line is a great film, deffinately on level with Saving Private Ryan, but I think the different setting really helps with a different feel that the whole film has.

I loved that movie too. Impressive sex-scenes as well ;) Kidding. Of course SPR beats all the other was movies, but EATG kicks ass too. I saw it for the first time a month ago. Maybe I'll have to buy it on DVD.

Saving private ryan pales big time in comparison to Band of Brothers.

Band of Brothers had the time to really flesh out what was going on in a way a movie never could. It was also made by the same darned people, so its really just a continuation of the idea.

It was still better though :D

I have the DVD box set, I'l probably watch it all at Christmas again...ah how that brings back memories (Of when they showed it on the tele over Christmas.)

EATG was great, and somehow it made a really big impact with me when you saw that kid hanging. It made you think more than SPR did, and while SPR was a fun action movie, it did nothing more for me (didn't take this name because of the movie either, just because it was a fun name and I needed a soldierish name :))

And BoB > SPR, change my name into CptWinters :p

Jeez, I see on IMDB that BoB has a 9,5
That's a lot higher than any movie there, it would be an easy #1 if it were a movie.

A pitiful, somewhat implausible "love triangle" in a movie of war and hell just killed EATG. Never mind its weak dialogue and attempt to piggy-back the success of SPR.

Dont know about you but i found the first 2 stalingrad missions to be the best missions in the game...

was enemy at the gates the one with the 2 snipers??

if so i liked the begining scene when he snipes them one by one and one while running :) that was awesome
