Like I said, I don't mind closing spam threads, but it's a bit ridiculous that everything about the preload must go in one thread that became too big to read through.
Might as well make one topic about HL2 and say that everything about HL2 has to go in there...

I also find it funny that threads are closed with the message "too many similar topics" while all similar topics are already closed and none is left.

Or how threads get closed with the message "use the search button" but if the search button is used, threads get closed because of resurrecting...

Its probally just because hs new. im only guessing, but when you first become a moderator for a site, you're probally gonna be rushing around the place doing all the work (like i was when i went on work experience). But after a while it kinda gets repetitive and eventually just plain trivial. Im sure in a couple of days / weeks he'll be acting like all teh other mods

I think theres too much rivalry between mods and the forum community. Alot of it has to do with the mods coming across as A-holes no offense. You guys do give off the vibe your better than everyone. Not trying to sound offensive but maybe if you guys toned down your attitude and stopped putting this huge gap between mods and the community, and just become part of the community while just making sure nothing goes wrong, things might work out a little better. I'm sure people would agree when I say, noone cares who closed the thread, and noone wants to see the cute little remarks some of you guys leave before closing them.

Everyone was getting involved and bringing up good times, a thread for once, was going really really well. He just shows up, makes a wise ass comment, and moves it to the general gaming forum saying it has nothing to do with hl or hl2. Wtf is that?

Sorry guys just my opinion. Munro said he was gonna straighten everything out, I haven't seen a change at all, and judging by there only being 10/25 pages on the front page open, things have just gotten worse.

Its rediculous. It was a good discussion, it got cut down because of him, and now the thread is basically dead, otherwise it could have been a great thread. I didn't know you guys were zombies and couldn't have the logical sense to think, hey, this thread is kinda about hl2, and its going really well, ill leave it, hell, ill even post in it my thoughts on the topic. No though, I'm going to put my cute little catchphrase in, and move it without any REAL reason to do so.

Your thread had nothing to do with HL2. General gaming is for all other games besides HL2.

The thread about Characters is favorite character from the HL universe, since Alyx and Dog aren't from HL1.

And steam threads are moved to their section, unless they have to do with HL2.

There's only a small minority that have a problem with what we do. The rest are ok with us.

We're very community focussed and do what we can to keep this place clean and tidy, but it seems to be only when we do something that someone doesn't agree with (usually cos they think the rules don't apply to them) that we get people moaning about us.
